The snow still lays around helped by the cold frosty night last night that froze the puddles in the track.

30th January 2010
Once more the snow clouds have gathered over us and deposited a white layer over the Pembrokeshire landscape. this is very unusual for us. The past fall that we had laid around a lot longer than normal for this part of the country. The last time we had such a fall was over 20 years ago. Most other falls last a mere two days and then disappear.
This morning the snow had just started to fall as I prepared to go out to take the photo. It came on thicker and faster in a matter of minutes and the effect can be seen in this photo of the field.

A clear still day. Water runs everywhere. Snow has all but thawed from the fiels around us. But the higher ones are so saturated water flows down into the track, which is turning a bit muddy now as vehicles pass over it.

A fresh but light covering of snow fell yesterday recovering everything. The air is cold and biting, but the harsh wind has dropped for a while.

It's quite overcast and dark this morning. It's just a touch milder than before, small light bits of snow fall sporadically.
