We have had some really good days here weatherwise. Bright sunny and warm. It's going to go through the weekend and into the week, well that's what the weathermen promise.
In the track lay a body this morning.
The wood pigeon had not been laid there very long, around about an hour at the most as it was still warm and pliable. No signs of injury. Just above where it lay is a Hawthorn tree and just to the right of the photo are numerous droppings that I had noticed before.
It must have been a favoured roost. We are quite fond of Wood Pigeons, they never give us any trouble in the garden and they are pretty innocuous birds. We have a couple visit the bird table and will have to see if is one of the pair.
