3rd May 09: Herb Robert (Geranium robertianum) has started to flower now. It is a quite lovely wild flower that really deserves a place within a cultivated garden. Often it grows in really difficult places and soil conditions. I have seen it quite happy rooted in a deep scree of pebbles thriving and flowering. Not only does it have pretty pink flowers but the stems are a rich red in colour so even if the flowers are not present it creates a show.
