Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) is now in full flower. The scent from it is so reminiscent of Summer, a sweet dusty smell like a gently powdered Aunt . Dry still days and the delicious perfume drifts on the air.
It is an old herbal remedy for headaches. Two teaspoons of dried flowers per cup of water, steeped for five minutes makes a quite pleasantly tasting tea, a taste similar to the smell of new hay.
